The main brief for this kitchen was to create a light, open, modern kitchen with clean lines, minimal detail and make the most of the small space. The Modena kitchen from Daval was the perfect kitchen for the brief with its understated design. The ‘handles’ are cut into the door panels themselves, providing a fuss-free line but giving just a little detail to add interest.

While this kitchen needed to be modern in feel, it also needed to be timeless and soft. The elegant Dove Grey of the main doors with a matt lacquer finish achieves this perfectly, while the Navy Blue accent colour on the island unit creates interest and lifts the whole kitchen, demonstrating that just a splash of colour can create a strong look.

We have maximised storage in this compact space with floor to ceiling units and additional storage in the island unit. We even managed to include a built-in drinks fridge, wine rack, and breakfast bar. A Calacatta Gris (a ceramic material, inspired by classic marble) worktop with sunken sink is perfectly fitting with the clean lines of the rest of the kitchen.

The customer, Mrs Sharon Sugden, was delighted with the whole process:

“We wanted to totally remodel the kitchen in the bungalow we had just moved into. 3Style Kitchens were recommended to us by friends, who had their kitchen completely remodelled and were very happy with the results.

Dean came to look at our kitchen/dining room, he took measurements and we discussed with him what we wanted. He left us door and floor samples to look at while he put together a plan of what we wanted. We received the plans quickly and made some changes and then we agreed on a start date. We were going to be out of the country while Dean and his team did the renovation.

Everything was removed from the room and disposed of, then new flooring and sockets were fitted, pipes were moved as necessary, and a wall and ceiling were replastered. Units and island and appliances were fitted along with new lighting and quartz worktops. Dean was great, he project-managed the many trades that were needed and he even met the delivery driver with our hob on the motorway to get it so we didn’t have to wait until the end of the day, which would have been too late to fit at that point."
